Serengeti National Park, TANZANIA —

“I mean, really, this again?” said one member of the herd, after fleeing to a safe remove in order to observe the goings-on at a distance. “I swear to God, if I see that prissy little freak do one more over-dramatized cabriolé above the saw grass, followed by that rather obviously rehearsed ‘oh, I’m so frightened’ pirouette and glissade thing, I’m gonna throw up my cud.”

At press time, the lions had overcome their initial difficulties with the complex choreography and were elegantly demonstrating the intricate leap-and-reach steps which bridge the gap between the dramatic “Take Flight” dance and the more relaxed “Dinner On The Plains” group ensemble.
