Calabasas, CA —

After being injured in a very serious car accident, actor and comedian Kevin Hart, 40, is reportedly doing better. Hart issued a statement earlier today thanking all of his family and fans for support throughout this traumatic experience.

“That car accident was scary as hell. We’re going along. Laughing. Having a good time. And then BAM! We’re rolling. You know? I was like ‘What? Who? How?’ My head’s bobbing all over the damn place. Life flashing before my eyes. You know how they show that happening in the movies? Well. It’s true. I didn’t think it was, but it’s true. I kept thinking, ‘What if my son turns out gay?’ That’s my biggest fear. I’m not homophobic, I have nothing against gay people. Be happy. But still. Not my boy. Lil Nas X? Sure. That’s good for him. My friend’s over there going, ‘SHIT. SHIT. SHIT.’ Came to. My back’s hurting. I’m in pain. Hey. Listen. Pain. Whooo, my back was hurting so bad it gave me a chance to think what my lady must feel like all the time. HA. The doctor says I’m going to be just fine. I just feel so grateful that my boy’s straight. Lots of people aren’t so lucky.”

“Seriously, I love you all. No homo though.” Hart is expected to make a full recovery, but will have to go through months of intense physical therapy.
