Plains, GA —

After suffering a pelvic fracture resulting from a fall in his home, President Jimmy Carter is showing great strength as he presses on to build his 17th Habitat for Humanity House before sundown. “I could have taken it easy today, maybe just built four or five houses, but someone has to do it. Doctor says this can be my PT for the day,” Carter explained, wiping the sawdust from his brow. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go help this young one over there fabricate a header before he mistakes it for a joist.”
