Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey announced a permanent suspension of Donald Trump’s Twitter account, after discovering a few of his posts may have violated their terms of service. “We received some complaints over the past decade about inappropriate content on @realDonaldTrump, but obviously we cannot police every user on Twitter,” said Dorsey. “We received a handful of reports of racist, xenophobic, and seditious tweets from this obscure account, but it just wasn’t on our radar. After a careful investigation, we were shocked to learn that this account may have violated our terms of service. We apologize for the oversight, but we took action as soon as we were aware of the problems with this account.”
